When The Strangers Were Working At Our Home
By Gizmo And Taurus
Hello friends and welcome. My name is Pepe and I have a sister named LuLu.
I am about to tell you what happened with my sisfur one day. LuLu is a
wonderful sisfur and also what we call a scaredy cat. She hates strangers
and hates anyone coming into our home.
Our humans had made plans to have some work done on our home. The plan was
to lock me and LuLu in a room where we would have our litter box, food,
toys, and water. The humans would naturally check on us periodically and
make sure we were okay. That was fine with us as long as we had our own
safe place to stay. Let's just say the plan didn't work quite as we all
had planned.........
Meowmie got all of LuLu's and my things together and opened the door so
that we would go into the room. It was fine and all set up really comfy.
The best thing was it kept us away from the strangers and all the noises!
I was taking a little nap when I realized something. I actually never saw
LuLu come into the room and meowmie had already shut the door thinking we
were both in their. I panicked and was looking all over the room for LuLu,
under the furniture, in the closet, and in the bathroom. No sign of her
anywhere I thought to myself. Oh no she must still be roaming the house
with all the strangers and she is always so afraid. My first thought was
she might leave the house completely and we would never find her! I needed
to do something. The only thing I thought of to get the human's attention
was scratch at the door since I never do that and we are not supposed to
do that either. It seemed like an eternity but finally meowmie came to see
what I was making such a fuss about. She then realized LuLu was not their.
Meowmie stopped the workmen and made everyone start looking for LuLu. It
was a long, hard search. The house was covered with sheets and blankets to
protect the rest of the furniture and everyone was looking everywhere for
LuLu.
A few hours passed and I was beginning to get really upset and so were the
humans. Meowmie began to cry and blame herself for LuLu being gone. Just
when we were beginning to think she was gone we heard a little whining
sound coming from under one of the blankets. Meowmie and I ran to the
blanket and pulled it up and guess what?? Our LuLu came out from
underneath and popped her head out ever so slightly. Hooray she was
okay!
Meowmie picked up LuLu and was kissing her all over and saying how sorry
she was. I was nuzzling her and licking her head. Meowmie made sure she
carried LuLu and me back to the room herself and checked on us constantly
till all the work was done in the house.
LuLu and I were fine once again, however, we still wanted those workmen
out of our house and we wanted things back to normal!
