Life is About New Beginnings

Once upon a time there was a beautiful little kitty named Jasmine Rose. Her humans adopted her from the local shelter when she was six weeks old, saving her from who knows what. The humans took her to the vet where she got all of her shots. They fed her all the right foods and took very good care of Jasmine Rose.

When Jasmine Rose was less than a year old and still considered a “kitty” by many she made one of her bad decisions. Jasmine snuck outside when her humans were carrying in the groceries. Of course Jasmine always came in within a couple of hours so although her humans did not like her sneaking out, they were not terribly worried. What they did not know was that on this day Jasmine Rose happened to meet up with a handsome Tom cat.

It wasn’t long before Jasmine’s humans noticed the changes in her body and after taking her to the vet’s they discovered that their little “kitty” was about to have kitties of her own.

Jasmine was very young and scared especially when the time for the birth of the kitties came. But somehow she knew what to do. She knew how to take care of her babies and was a good cat mother. She fed them and kept them clean and taught them all the living skills that a mother cat teaches her babies. This was a new beginning for Jasmine Rose as a mother.

Soon the day came when the humans decided that they could not raise so many kitties, and four of Jasmine Rose’s babies were adopted by close friends of the family. This was a difficult time for Jasmine but again…she made a new beginning. She was able to keep two of her babies with her: Justin Clover and Baby Sweet Pea.

One day her humans took Jasmine to the vet’s for something called an operation. It was not a pleasant experience at all but they took very good care of her and the next day she was able to return home with her family. In about a week, Jasmine was able to play again with her two children and her humans. This was another new beginning for Jasmine. She would no longer go into heat or be able to have any more kittens.

Justin Clover and Baby Sweet Pea were no longer babies. Jasmine Rose learned that she had to share her humans’ attention with Justin and Baby. She also had to share her toys. This was not an easy task for her but Jasmine learned because by now she knew that life was all about new beginnings.
