HALLOWEEN FROM OUR POINT OF VIEW

Halloween at my house is awful. I am sorry but it is a night I just dread. The doorbell rings and children come to the door dressed in scarey costumes. My fur stands on end just thinking about it! I can't figure why the humans have such a need to give out candy. I have heard candy is not such a good thing for the humans teeth .... so why is it such a big treat I ask?? Those costumes......witches, ghosts, goblins are enough to scare anyone not just us cats. My idea of Halloween is to find a good hiding place very early and stay there for the night. I am also a black cat which doesn't help the situation. Humans tend to have a lot of silly superstitions regarding black cats. The humans look at me funny and my fur stands up and I run and hide. I really get scared! Of course my humans are not like that at all. They think just the opposite that having a black cat is good luck :)

I will be most happy when Halloween is over and things are once again quiet and back to normal. I realize the human children look forward to Halloween each year. I wish they would realize however that it is really tough on us cats!
