Attack on America

We watched in horror and disbelief the despicable actions of Terrorists against the United States. We shared the pain and grief of the families of the victims, and felt gratitude and pride for the dedication and hard work of all those attempting rescue of those injured. We also watched with barely controlled anger the celebrations over this attack by people in other countries, but thankfully the shared grief displayed by other people in the world tempered our anger, and allowed us to remain objective and somewhat calm.

Now it is time to rein in our emotions, and realize that our very way of life is at risk. We must put away our toys as the time for play has come to an end. Not that we must forget how to smile, or find a happy moment in our daily lives, because we cannot survive as free kitties if we allow this to change our basic personalities. However we must be aware that things have changed, and that there could be hardships and further tragedies in our future.

This is a challenge to us all. To become better kitties, to think of the welfare of each other, to be concerned for the safety of others, and to remember that our lifestyle was made possible by the sacrifices of our forefathers.

I'm confident that we can meet this challenge!
