Evil ..it's a funny word isn't it...and
sometimes evil masquerades as something desirable or someone
apparently harmless ...
This cautionary tale is about an
unearthly evil being who disguised himself as a one eared cat!!
Once upon a time, all good stories start
this way, there was an innocent and somewhat naive beautiful young lady ,(
hey it's my story I'll be beautiful and young if I want to ...it IS fiction
..) She liked to play on the computer in a naive and innocent way.
One day she got an evil email. Of course
she didn't KNOW it was evil at the time but it sure turned out that way. The
email was an invitation from a one eared cat she knew called Bubba
(...sounds innocent enough doesn't it??) to join a group called Neopets .
This site professed to be a site where you could play free games and
run in the fields in the sun. Okay I made the sun part up ! But it said it
was harmless fun.
Evil Bubba got the beautiful young woman
hooked on this Neopets...she spent all hours of the day and night playing
the " innocent" games. She found out that her friends were getting
hooked too. Soon no-one was doing any of their jobs ..or sleeping...or
playing with their pets!!! The BYW got suspicious of the Evil Bubba and
Neopets and contacted the XFiles to determine the origin of this "
Bubba". I mean most cats have TWO ears.
There was in fact an enormous file on
this character and Neopets and he was suspected of many many evil things, in
FACT he was the alien who landed at Roswell, he also stowed away on untold
spaceships and ate spacemen and women, he took over a computer in 2001 Space
Oddessy, he stole identities and only just escaped the Men in Black. He was
EVIL......this was just the latest of his evil plans. He was an agent of the
Neopets.
It seemed he wanted the people to be
sooo immersed in the computer games that he and his kind could RULE THE
WORLD!!!!! And he was winning.....
I would like to say this story has a
happy ending and the Evil has been vanquished but sadly NO!!! he is
still out there somewhere spreading his darkness....so if you get the email
...do yourselves a favour DELETE IT!!!! Do not even look ....or the world is
doomed.
Evil is out there and it's name is
NEOPETS!!!!!
