A PEKE-A-DOR

by Sir Wally

Meowmie was awakened at 4:30 AM recently by the sound of a doggie crying.

"Leave it alone" I purred, "it's just a dog".

She could not find it but later it bawled again (don't they always!) so she went outside and this time she discovered a 5-6 week old black Labrador puppy, huddled in a dark corner of a portion of our yard that is not fenced. My "Leave it" ESP did not work this time. She brought it inside and it has been with us a week now, grown a foot (well..it seems like it) and it is the true embodiment of a 4-legged terrorist. The Pekingese hate it. The growl at it, hide from it, stare at it...all the things that Pekes do to intimidate. It just bounces about in total oblivion to their methods.

In some sneaky way, I find that amusing. I decided to proclaim it a "Peke-a-dor" and shall secretly encourage it to continue to bug them.

Ah, sweet revenge!
