Ants in Colony One

We are ants that live in the district of Colony One. Our hill resides in an area of many hills each named as Colonies. Our residence is Colony one. Our colony is comprised of many worker ants (drones) as well as a queen who presides over the daily operation of our Colony.

Our queen just spotted a group of humans outside having a picnic - and she has given us and an additional 100 ants the mission of bringing back to the colony a variety of delicious delicacies that she and our citizens could enjoy and also store in our food banks.

Our group gathered together and started marching to the specified spot where the food was laid out on a red and white blanket. We were trained to not be conspicuous and yet we were to stay in a single file line. We needed to be close together as lookout and backup too.

Oh, we spotted some hamburger, some cake, some bread. Yes - there was our target - we were ready to move in and take what was ours!

We each grabbed as much as we could muster - quickly and swiftly breaking the single line formation and attacking the food from all directions. We each had to watch the others back though to be sure we were not squashed by some angry human trying to save their meal.

We all quickly gathered what we could - and luckily with no casualties. We then went formed the single line formation and marched back to Colony One with our spoils! We were great ant soldiers and happily were we too because our mission was a success!
