A Hard Relationship

This story takes place in a very quiet but lovely neighborhood where lots of us cats meet and play and just do our cat thing.

I have these two friends who can get me quite upset at times. They are always trying to one up each other. When Smokey says he does one thing Sandy has to try and outdo Smokey by saying she does something better. It gets me so annoyed. I ask myself why must they do this? We are all equals I try and tell them. Suddenly when I open my sweet kitty mouth I tend to feel put right in the middle of these two. Oh my and the fighting gets so out of hand.

For example let me tell you one day Sandy had a lovely catnip toy that Smokey never liked much. Well, when Smokey saw how much Sandy loved the toy he suddenly had to have it! It was just awful with all the hissing and spitting. Naturally I stepped in to try and make sense with these two and I was hurt myself a little in the fight just by trying to be a friend!

Honestly, friends are hard to come by that are trustworthy and kind which these two are so I just try and do the best I can to make sure they don't kill each other and me all at the same time!!!!!
