Summer Holiday

The 4th of July is the main Summer Holiday in this area. All the nearby towns and cities have parades, and street dances, and fireworks in the evening. Many of the humans go to the nearby lakes for boating and swimming, and picnics. Others go to the parks for ball games and family gatherings. Outdoor barbeques and grilling hamburgers are popular, as are fishing and float trips on one of the rivers near here.

I personally do not care for water sports or dancing, but I'm always happy to join in on enjoying the pcinics and hamburgers. I limit my fireworks to the television display (in my air conditione house). That's my idea of outdoor activity in the summertime!
