Parrotheads

In August 1996, meowmie won 2 tickets to a Jimmy Buffett concert from the local radio station. The concert was on meowmie's birthday, August 6. As they say, the rest is history. Jimmy Buffett followers are lovingly referred to as Parrotheads. Another ironic characteristic as meowmie breeds exotic tropical birds as a second business. As meowmie and fafur got to the parking lot of the concert, strangely dressed people were milling around with lots of loud music playing and people dancing in hula skirts. These were real live Parrotheads! When they got in the concert hall, everyone was popping around beach balls and inflatable sharks. They all looked like they were having fun. And then the music started! Everyone was standing and singling with the band. They all knew the songs and it was like a huge party all night long! Meowmie is now a committed Parrothead and has gone to many Jimmy Buffett concerts.
