What Exactly Is The Dog Days Of Summer?

The expression "Dog Days Of Summer" can mean different things to different kitties depending on your feelings towards the summer time. I have mixed feelings. One thing for sure is I hate when it rains with the thunder and lightening and I especially hate the heat and humidity. My fur feels so sticky and sweaty even though Mom always has the air conditioner running. I also dislike the fleas that tend to come around and try to bite me. Just the thought sends shivers down my cute kitty spine. The flowers that bloom and the grass being green I guess I would have to say is the nice part. Actually, I don't have anything else nice to say about the "Dog Days Of Summer".
