If I was a gypsy,
Yada mada mew meow meow, meowie mew meow,
I'd have long black hair that hung in curls,
Golden earrings set with shiny pearls,
I'd be colorful! more than other girls,
If I was, I'd look like that!

If I was a fairy,
Yada mada mew meow meow, meowie mew meow,
I'd have luminous, shimmer-icious wings,
Magic pow'rs and songs a fairy sings,
Sprinkle fairy dust on unhappy things,
>From my flower petal hat.

If I was a mermaid,
Yada mada mew meow meow, meowie mew meow,
I'd have flowing tresses briny green,
Sparkley eyes, the greenest ever seen!,
Shiny fishtail beautiful and clean,
If I was, and not a cat.

My whole persona would be new, but it wouldn't,
Would I be me? yet
I'll imagine just how unique I'd be.
And they would marvel at the things I could do
If I was not Mewsette,
But I can't imagine losing "me".

If I was a gypsy,
Bold and beautiful and wild and very much as I am now,
I would drive my wagon to the trees,
Sit communing with the gentle breeze,
Laughing gaily, but it wouldn't please...
I'd be lonely for my....... cat!
