Home's Little Treasures
by Mewsette
Home is where my heart is.
I've never wandered far,
Cause home is also, for a kitty,
Where our treasures are.
Simple in their meaning,
Important to our soul,
Connections to our daily lives,
Our treasures make them whole.
My personal sunny window,
Or snowy on some days,
Where birds and bees or snowflakes hold
My fascinated gaze.
My private little corner
Of a softly darkened den,
Where I staked out a mouse for days,
So proud I got him then!
My soft and furry basket,
That no one dares to touch!
And if I wasn't home, I'd miss
My treasures very much.
But one is most important,
Yes, more than those above,
The oldest treasure in my home,
The meowmie that I love.
