My Hopes and Wishes For The Coming Year

Wow! I have so many hopes and wishes for 2003, that it's hard to know where to start. Firstly and foremost, I want Meowmie to get better this year. Her health hasn't been the best and she's been spending a lot of time at doctors and hospitals so that would be my very biggest wish for this year.

Secondly, I would love it if that mean cat, Lucy, from two doors down decided she would be friends with me and Pixie (the kitty from across the road). Lucy was a stray, like me, but she's never really understood how good life is when you share it with a human. Lucy has a human who feeds her but Lucy doesn't like to go inside or be cuddled or anything like that - she really doesn't know what she's missing out on, so she stays outside all the time. She's not very friendly, esp to us other cats. Pixie and I would really like to be friends with her but she just won't have any of it. Yesterday, I saw her hissing at Pixie through the doorway which isn't very nice at all!

I would also love it if I could be friends with Grandma and Grandpa's German Shepherd d*ggie but Grandma says that's not very likely since he chases the next door neighbour's cat away each time it wanders into their backyard. I just know, that given time, he will learn to love me, because everyone does (except Lucy). Meowmie doesn't take me to visit Grandma and Grandpa because Sam is so big and mean to cats but one day I hope that will change.

Let's see, I would also like the weather to stay cool all the time (that's not an impossible thing to ask, is it?) because when it's cold, I snuggle down with Meowmie at nights and she keeps me warm. However, in the summer time when it's hot, it's just too hot to cuddle up to her, as much as I'd like to. The hot weather really drains me and I don't have much energy and just laze around the house all the time during those days.

Oh, and of course, I would love heaps more toys and stuff to play with. I already have lots but they get a bit boring after a while so a year full of new toys all the time would be wonderful.

Lastly, I have to say that I wish that there were no more bad people who hurt kitties or abandon them and that every kitty has a nice home to live in, just like me.
