Ode to the Hotel Mice
by Jewels Meow Cat
Darling Mice
in our hotel room
you are the spice
of my life.
The way you zoom
across the floor,
from under the bed
to the door.Oh, let me count the ways
my sweet little tails,
how you brighten my days
from your fuzzy ears to your
pink feet and tiny nailsOh to hear your screeches and wails.
My heart aches for thou,
darling hotel mouse,
why don't they allow
your stay at this inn. They are troubled, dear one
that you room here with me.
Why can't they see,
We play and have fun.Be gone the housekeepers scream
as they set their traps.
How dare they be mean?
Oh dear, I hear your neck snap.I mourn for your loss.
Such sorrow is mine.
With whom shall I dine?
But then to my glee,
What do I see:
A small gray tail
with pink fuzzy ears,
Waiting to be mine.I would count the ways I love you,
my sweet tasty mouse.
But my tummy is full,
As I drift now to sleep,
Dreaming of miew.
