A shelter cat, a feral cat, and a pampered pet
by SassyJazmine
One dark and stormy night, the thunder was crashing,
the wind was blowing, and a little tiny black feral
kitty was scared to death huddled outside all by
herself. She wandered around looking for shelter and
someone to comfort her, but only found rain and wind
instead.
Meanwhile inside the house nearby, a tiny fluffy white
kitty was cowering under the bed, afraid of the noise,
the thunder, the wind, the rain. But she was warm and
could run to her meowmie just as soon as her meowmie
came home.
Way across town, the lady that lived in the house
where the tiny kitty lived, stopped at the local
shelter to see if there was something she could do to
help the homeless kitties there. She had brought some
food, toys and blankets to help make them feel better.
While she was talking to one of the workers in the
shelter, she noticed a little orange kitty huddled in
a corner of a nearby cage. The storm had scared her.
The lady scooped the little orange kitty up into her
arms, gave her ears a good scratch, and decided to
adopt her as a companion for her new white kitty, and
off they went into the dark and stormy night.
As the lady was getting out of her car, she noticed a
movement by the side of the house. Being curious like
humans tend to be, she put the little orange kitty in
her coat pocket, and went to investigate.
Sure enough she had seen something, she found the
little black kitty, wet, scared, and probably very
hungry, huddled under a bush. Without hesitation, the
lady scooped up the kitty and put her in the other
pocket of her coat and ran for the house.
Later that night, when the storm was over, everyone
was dry, fed, and had taken a little nap, the lady put
all three kitties in the same basket, where they
immediately cuddled into a little pile and went
happily back to sleep.
