My Housemate Max

I am Nikki, of the infamous Nikki and Nichie, and I have the pleasure to write about my most favorite of favorite housemates, our dog, Max.

Max is a white Maltese who is now 13 years old. We just celebrated his birthday! He has long white hair and has a very sweet personality. He was at our home way before we were ever born but when we came to live at our home as young kitties, he welcomed us with many licks and smells, too.

Max has always been like Mom! Since I met Max, I have cuddled up to him and enjoyed his fresh smell and warm fur. I lost my real mom as a very, very young kitty - but as soon as I met Max, it was like, wow, a foster cat mom! He has always been very protective of both Nichie and I and always very loving to us. And he has the patience of a saint! Both Nichie and I would pester him constantly and he would never get mad - he still never gets mad and we STILL love to pester him.

Max is an integral part of my life. I love Max as much as I love meowmie, paw, Nichie and Gingercats. But Max is really special. He is my protector, my friend and my hero! I cannot image what life would be without him.
