My Special Pals
By BlackJack
I have two very special housemates and they are really special kitties. I
am going to tell you about both of them, and I am sure glad I have such
great kitties to share the household with.
It is really neat having
another kitty that shares my harlequin coat pattern, and this special
kitty is MGD. He is really great because he accepted me into his house,
and has let me become part of the family. It isn't always easy having two
male kitties in the house, especially when one of them was an outside
tomcat as I was. MGD has always been very much a gentleman, and he was
very accepting of me. Such kindness was very easy to respond to in kind,
and this really helped me feel a part of the family. We will sometimes
box with each other, using paws not claws, and of course we will have the
occasional swipe of the paw at one another, but boys will be boys. I
think it is so neat that we look a lot alike, and it gives us a special
bond. I have been careful not to try and take over the house, and think
we have a great relationship where we each can keep our male pride and
still remain friends. I know MGD was here first, so I try to always keep
that in mind. That has helped us to always get along well, and kudos to
MGD for letting me be such an integral part of the family.
Spyder is just
so cute! She is the special lady calico, and the odd one out being a girl
and a calico, surrounded by the two of us boys. Spyder was a bit chubby
when I first arrived, and now, she is much slimmer and much more frisky!
She loves to play chase, and she will often go on the offensive and start
chasing me around! She hunts down furry mice too, and it is neat to see
how much more active she is now, since we are both very fond of playing.
It is fun having a girl kitty in the house, and she keeps us boys in line
and makes sure we don't forget our manners.
I am so very fortunate to
have such cool housemates who were so willing to open their home to a
street cat who desperately wanted a home!
