The Great Blizzard of '04

by Bug Bug Milliken

News Anchor: An almost unheard of blizzard in Northern Florida has virtually shut down the CLAW University campus. Let’s go to Cindy Cat who is standing by to give us a report of the activities on campus.

Cindy Cat: Cindy Cat here reporting from Northern Florida, where an almost unheard of blizzard had virtually shut the CLAW University campus down. A large plane, the Kitty Ka’Jet landed earlier today in an empty field right next to the campus. There seem to be many cats swarming around it. I am speaking now to the owner of the plane. Mr. Great,

KTG: Kitty

Cindy Cat: Yes, Mr. Kitty, we are in the middle of a blizzard and snow is all around us. Yet I understand you will be taking off for the Swiss Alps soon. Why are you going to leave this snow to go to more snow? Why don’t you fly to someplace warm?

KTG: Well, Candy, cats just want to have fun.

Candy Cat: I see. And here is another cat, in shorts, and carrying a surfboard. Hi, Tiger Magnificat, is that correct? (Tiger nods) Can you tell me why you are carrying a surfboard? You are going to be skiing in the snow.

Tiger M: What’s Snow? The only Snow I know is my sister, SnowLing, and she I warm and furry.

Candy Cat: Well, its seems Tiger Magnificat is a bit confused.

Daenida: Tiger is ALWAYS confused.

Whir! Whir! Whir!

Candy Cat: Goodness, a large helicopter has just landed from Australia, and a very large cat is getting out. And you are?

Fleabag: Fleabag.

Candy Cat: Mr. Fleabag, it is summer in Australia. Why are you headed for the cold snow in Switzerland.

Fleabag: I wouldn’t miss this trip for anything. It should be great fun.

Freedom, Harmony and Little Mim (waving their paws): UNCLE FLEABY! UNCLE FLEABY.

Suddenly Fleabag is surrounded by kittens.

Candy Cat: I see crates of snow suits, mittens, skis, snowboards, and all kinds of other things are being loaded.

Maile and Amelia (with trays of hot chocoip): Miss Candy, would you like some hot choconip?

Candy Cat: Why yes. Thank you. (sips the choconip). There seems to be a lot of Millikitts around here. I hope this plane will hold them all. Oh, and another large contingent of cats has just arrived. Someone is saying it is the Reeves Kittens, from Texas. Blessed, what are all of these crates?

Blessed Reeves: This is the food. We are the cooks.

Candy Cat: It looks like enough food to feed a small army is being loaded on board now. Oh, my goodness. Who is that handsome cat?

Candy Cat, former reporter, speaking from inside the plane.

The plane is just getting ready to take off, and I am delighted to be on board. What can I say? Cats just want to have fun.
