Sam is a cat, you may not know,
Who does around the briny go,
Showing cats their holiday scene,
From his vacation submarine.
The cats pay him to show them round
The islands and marine life found
Along the way upon their cruise
On the route that they can choose.
In summer, the Aegean and Med,
Winter - Carribbean instead,
Port Royal in winter, summer - Piraeus.
Sam says "Be punctual - don't delay us".
"Sam's Submarine, Sea, Sun and Sand,
Sea-food, See Sea-Life at first hand"
So reads Sam's ad and if you're wise
You'll go, and not economise.
Cats won't be bothered by bad weather
When beneath the sea, together,
They will see by powerful lights
Fish to whet their appetites.
Fish, seen through portholes, many hues,
That cats might on the menu choose,
And on the surface there will be
Dolphin and swordfish company.
Stops, he'll make, in sheltered bays,
Where cats can soak in the sun's rays
On balmy beaches where blue seas lap,
Clear as water from the tap.
If you like, from time to time,
There will be a song and rhyme
From a crewman called Constantez
Who plays a squeezebox and sings shanties.
This trip could be just once a lifetime,
Cats are lucky, we get nine,
So, go nine times upon Sam's tour,
Nine cruises later, you'll still want more.
