These days, Polly has a wonderful life. However, for most of her first year, she had a lot of hard times. She was with her kitty mom and family for a few weeks, but then was on her own. Polly wished that she could be safe in a place somewhere. To make matters worse, Polly then became pregnant. Oh, she wished she could get off of the streets! How would she have her kittens? Thankfully, the Humane Society found her. The people there sent her to a foster home. The family there was furry nice to her; although they would not let her on the furniture. It was with these people that she had her kittens.
Polly went back to the Humane Society. One day in December, she was put into a van she heard was a Pawmobile. The people drove her and other cats to a local craft store. Only a few came to look at the kitties; but a woman and girl did. They both had hair the color of honey and blue eyes. Would they take her home? Polly put her paw in the girl’s jacket sleeve. She could tell that the two liked her furry much. They did not take her home with them, however. When that afternoon passed, it was time to go back to the shelter.
A couple more weeks passed. Polly had a bigger room than most kitties, yet she was still unhappy. She hoped for people to adopt her, but no one did yet. Then, on Friday, December 28, the girl and woman came back with a man. Polly heard the woman say, "Oh, there’s the kitty we saw at the Pawmobile!" She was furry happy to see them! Polly noticed that the people had a carrier with them. Could it be that someone wanted to adopt her? The people were furry nice and gave her kitty treats. The family put her in the carrier. Yes, she was finally going to have a home of her own! She sat in the back seat of the car with her new sisfur. Polly was furry happy to finally have a place to live.
